Newtownabbey Strikers were founded in 1992 and have been registered with the NIWFA since 1994.

The past ten years have seen the team grow in strength and earned respect from all quarters. In more recent years we have gained entry to compete in the UEFA Women's Cup competition against some of the toughest women's football teams in the world. We currently have a great selection of players, many whom play at international level.

As a club we strive to promote women's football and fair play. Although women's football is not as big in Northern Ireland as in other countries, it is certainly growing at a rapid rate.
